Check Your Entries:
Verify that you're accurately inputting your phone number, excluding the numerical country code as it's automatically added once you choose your country. Ensure you're entering the two-factor authentication code correctly.
Check Your Registration:
Check that you're registered with an organization on Crowded by checking in with your group admin.
If you're not registered with an account on Crowded, you will not be able to access or log into Crowded. If not, ask your admin for an invite link to register. Once your registration is finalized, you can log in using your phone number.
Crowded's Mobile App Tips:
Restart the App:
Begin by restarting the Crowded app on your device.
Delete & Redownload app:
Delete the Crowded app from your phone, go to your phone's app store, and redownload the app.
Update the App:
Ensure you have the latest version of the Crowded app installed.
For Further Assistance:
If the above measures don't yield a solution, consider the following options:
- Attempt logging in from a different device (iOS or Android).
- Double checking that your phone number is accurate and registered with Crowded
Biometric Recognition
Set up biometric recognition for easy logins (if your phone allows) by clicking on “More” on the main dashboard of the app. Then select “Security” and enable facial recognition (Face ID) or fingerprint authentication. If you already have biometric recognition enabled on your phone, it will connect automatically.
Tip: Setting up facial or touch recognition is especially important if you won’t have access to your home cell phone number while abroad.
Phone Verification While Abroad/SMS not working:
If you are abroad and cannot receive an SMS to your home phone number, we recommend downloading and using WhatsApp as your verification method. Once you have WhatsApp downloaded to your device, you can receive your verification code with a wifi connection.
Troubleshooting Per Diem Account Access:
To access funds on a Per Diem account assigned to you by a group on Crowded, it's essential to be registered as a member of that group on our app. If you haven't already registered, ask your admin for an invite link, and you'll be all set to log in with your phone number!
*IMPORTANT: Avoid clicking on "Create new group account" or "Get Started" on our website as Crowded accounts are created at the group level, and doing so won't grant you access to your money or member profile.
Read-Only User on Mobile App:
Note that the mobile app is not accessible to users with a read-only role. If you're trying to log in as a read-only user, please log into the web app for access.
