How do I accept account ownership of a Crowded account?
Once the outgoing account owner designates a new person to fill their spot, the new owner of the Crowded account will be sent an email with a unique link, which will prompt them to fill in the following information:
- Enter your social security number (SSN) and residential address.
- Sign the Meeting Minutes document that authorizes the account transfer.
- Upload a picture (not a scan!) of the front and back of a government-issued photo ID card to verify your identity.
- Enter the email of a third party in your organization who can attest to this ownership transfer. They will also be sent the Meeting Minutes document to sign/
Once all parties have signed, the account handover will be underway. The process can take up to 3-5 business days. We will notify both parties by email when the transfer is complete.
Occasionally, account handovers require additional documentation for identity or address verification so please be on the lookout for an email from the Crowded support team.
