Why was my filing rejected?
Your organization’s Form 990-N filing may have contained the following errors:
- Incomplete or incorrect information such as EIN, tax period, etc.
- Filing for the wrong tax year
- Duplicate filing for the same year
- Tax-exempt status was revoked
If your Form 990 Filing was submitted with Crowded and was rejected, your organization can resubmit with Crowded for free!
How do I check the submission status of my submitted Form 990-N?
Check whether the Form 990-N that you’ve submitted with Crowded was accepted or rejected on the Compliance tab of the Crowded web platform.
- Log into the Crowded web platform
- Click on the “Compliance” tab
- Check the status next to the year that you submitted the filing for
Can I update the details of the Form 990-N after submission?
The details included on the Form 990-N cannot be updated after the form is submitted to the IRS. If you exited the form without submitting, you can return to the form to edit the information.
